Sundara Travels is a 2002 Tamil-language comedy film directed by Asokan. The film stars Murali, Radha, and Vadivelu. Vasu, Sabitha Anand, and Vinu Chakravarthy appear in supporting roles. Writt by Govind Padman and Mahesh Mithra, it is a remake of their Malayalam film Ee Parakkum Thalika (2001). The music was composed by Bharani, with editing done by P. C. Mohanan. The film released on 30 August 2002.
Gopikrishna (Murali) owns an old bus which was received as compsation for his father's road accidt. Gopi now faces many consequces due to the bus's pathetic condition. He had sold many valuable things to maintain this bus, and his frid Azhagu (Vadivelu) was his only companion and the bus's cleaner. A mouse had eat Azhagu's passport and spoiled his chances of going abroad. Some part of the film's comedy involves Azhagu running behind the mouse for revge. A live TV show in which Gopi insults the City Traffic Commissioner (Vinu Chakravarthy) lands him in more trouble wh the latter commands Gopi to leave the city with the bus. His other frids, advocates, and well-wishers try to help him with a bank loan to run a mobile kitch (Tattukada) from his bus. The plot took a turn wh a girl named Vasanthi (Radha) ters the bus as a nomad, but she was actually Gayathri, the daughter of an influtial and politically powerful minister (P. Vasu) in Puducherry. Her father forced her to join politics, which made her leave home. Initially, Gayathri declines to leave the bus, despite Azhagu's and Gopi's constant efforts. The police traces her and takes her back to her father's custody. Her father was making arrangemts for her marriage with someone else. Meanwhile, Gopi realized that he could not live without Gayathri. Gopi and Azhagu secretly tered her house, and finally, all ded well by winning the heart of Gayathri's father.

Mannar Mannan (Guru Somasundaram) is a villager who declares himself Presidt of India. He leads many protests against various injustices happing around his village. One of Mannan's cases is against the local illegal sand mining group whose lorry maimed a goat. Another case is against a local school owner on whose property a toddler fell down an op deep bore well, resulting in brain damage. Wh this case was dismissed, Mannan stabs the school owner and is arrested. His past is told through the report submitted on the judge's order.
Mannan falls in love with Malliga, who is from the neighboring village. Malliga proclaims that she will marry him only if he builds a toilet at his home. He applies for a governmt scheme that provides inctive for building a toilet, along with his neighbors, but is cheated out of the governmt grant and is handed over just the basin. Wh the Presidt of India announces a visit to the village to formally op the first toilet built under this scheme, Mannan's house is chos. This prompts the village councilor to complete the unfinished toilet. It is still unfinished wh the security team refuses clearance and another villager's toilet is chos instead. Mallika yearns to use the toilet. Wh she does use it during a storm, the unfinished walls collapse on her and is discovered the next day by Mannan, the day of the Presidt's visit. The police and the politicians lock him up in his house wh he demands an ambulance. It was too late wh Malliga is finally tak to the hospital. She goes into a vegetative state, and the foetus was lost. Mannan petitions all the way to the Supreme Court to grant euthanasia to his wife. He loses his mind while he waits for a verdict. He takes up various causes and is beat in the police station every time.
Tiger Zinda Hai (2017)
Mannan gets out on bail to go to the final hearing in the Supreme Court. The justices dy the euthanasia petition and order a mtal evaluation of Mannan. Mannan walks out of the hospital and hitchhikes his way back to his village. He is hit by a lorry of the sand miners. He is idtified in the mortuary by his associates. Mannan's sister blames his associates for his death. In the d, the associates take care of Mannan's wife, while also reporting his death as a murder.
Actor Guru Somasundaram said, Working with Raju Murugan was very good and organic. Organic means, the procedures involved in film making, which included exhaustive script discussions. In the pre-production stage itself, we decided on everything, from the look of a character to the manner of dialogue delivery to the costumes to everything. We completed 90% of the film through rehearsals and th only wt to shoot. It was fantastic working with a director like Raju Murugan who is very clear about what he wanted.'
The film was completely shot in the regions around Dharmapuri in late 2015. Talking about the film, Raju Murugan says, ‘This film was completely shot in Dharmapuri. We’ve also managed to get the localities of Dharmapuri to play key roles in the film. The problems of modern India have be narrated in a humorous manner.
