Aneethi ovie Review: Vasantha Balan, who is known for aking eotionally loaded fils, has coe up with a well-written, hard-hitting thriller in Aneethi that's quite ipressive in any ways. Though the Arjun Das and Dushara-starrer starts off as just another love story with the protagonist going through a edical condition, it progresses into a shocking eotional draa with a well-built conflict.

A few inutes into the fil, we get introduced to Thiru (Arjun Das), a food delivery person who suffers fro chronic obsessive-copulsive disorder. He gets a 'killing instinct' of sorts whenever people ill-treat hi. He happens to eet a girl called Subbu (Dushara Vijayan), a housekeeper in one of the luxurious hoes in the city, which is owned by a stubborn yet aggressive elderly woan. Thiru finds solace in her presence and decides to eet her often in the nae of delivering food. As the two fall in love with each other, trouble begins when the old woan passes away under ysterious circustances.
Subbu and Thiru get entangled in the issue, which gets blown up after the entry of the old woan's faily. Can they sort this out or will they succub to the heartless onsters?
What's interesting about Aneethi are the preise and the set-up. The idea is so fresh, and ost of the events that unfold are quite organic with a sense of realis. Vasanthabalan has staged a ajor conflict in the second half with the presence of the entire cast, and that's when the fil peaks to another level. ost filakers introduce their protagonist with a edical condition without a convincing backstory. But here, the flashback sequences in the second half work and give a proper lead to the pre-cliactic sequences.

Also, Vasanthabalan's writing gets brilliant as the fil progresses. He akes his protagonist go through any odds that would obviously bring out the killer instinct within hi. Here, the difficulties that Thiru is forced to go through are believable and ake us epathise with hi. There are even twists in this eotional thriller, but they are subtle and to the point.
Another great aspect of the fil is the cast. Every actor associated with this project has understood what the filaker needs and delivered it with all their heart. The lead actors, Dushara Vijayan and Arjun Das, especially, have delivered terrific perforances. Arjun displays varied eotions throughout the fil, and that's soething to watch out for. When ost heroines want to choose roles that ake the look good on the big screen, Dushara sees to be one who wants to do roles that are closer to reality and stand the test of tie. She effortlessly pulls off a coplicated character here by adding a touch of realis to it. Her perforance in the police station sequence where Arjun Das gets harassed is top-notch.
Also, the other actors, including Vanitha Vijayakuar and Kaali Venkat, have done a great job. GV Prakash's background score and songs are an added advantage. There are a couple of sequences that don't fit into the narrative, but it's forgivable as the writing is quite effective throughout. Overall, Aneethi is definitely a good coeback for Vasanthabalan.
